Student marketplace

DormShare helps students list, discover, message about, and coordinate pickup for campus marketplace items. During beta, DormShare is free to use, does not process payments, and does not charge transaction fees.

Your responsibility

  • You are responsible for the listings, photos, messages, meetups, and transactions you create or join.
  • Use truthful information and do not impersonate another person or school community member.
  • Follow your school policies and local laws when listing items, meeting, or completing a transaction.

Not allowed

  • Do not post prohibited, illegal, unsafe, stolen, counterfeit, or inappropriate items.
  • Do not harass, scam, spam, threaten, or pressure other users.
  • Do not share exact room numbers publicly or use DormShare to coordinate unsafe meetups.

Transactions between users

Buying, selling, payment, item condition, pickup, and refunds are handled between users. DormShare does not guarantee transactions, item quality, pickup safety, payment outcomes, or user behavior.

Payment preferences

DormShare may show seller-selected payment preferences to help buyers and sellers coordinate in chat. These preferences are informational only; DormShare does not process payments during beta.

Safety and moderation

DormShare may review reports, remove content, limit access, or take other safety steps when needed to protect the campus marketplace.
